Class Writers of the Week

Last week we wrote recounts on our experiments. We made shadow puppets  and investigated the shadows that they created. We made predictions and after our investigations, we talked about our findings.

Evie wrote a super recount and got our Writer of the Week for a big improvement in her writing. Here is her recount:

Warren got our Writer of the Week as well and he also went on to win KS1 writer of the week for a huge improvement too! Here is his writing!

Writer of the Week

As you can see by the amount of children passing their writing targets, it was another hard week to choose writer of the week. I have decided upon Dominic as my Year 2 boy. His writing was innovative and he added extra parts to make his story exciting for his reader. Have a look below and comment on his work.

For my Year 2 girl, I have chosen Jasmine. Her handwriting was beautiful and similarly to Dominic's, she added extra bits to make her writing exciting! Comment on her work and tell her what you think.
(Turn your head to the side - formatting isn't on my side tonight!)

Well done to Jasmine and Dominic. A special mention to Rosie who is my Star of the Week!

Writing Targets

We have been writing lots this week about our traditional story! Ask your child about the story that we have been learning. In this coming week the children will be making their own story. So many children have passed a writing target this week. Certificates will be coming home :-) Well done to Harry, Charlie, Jamie-Leigh, Dominic, Jasmine, Eveline, Charlie H, Bailey, Lily, Henry R, Henry J, Evie, Jonathan, Jaimee, Dylan, Emma, Katie, Eloise, Izzy, Matty, Aiden G, Thomas, Rosie, Mia, Aidan B, Jamie M, Leo, Igor and Braiden! A very successful week for Blue Class!

Writer of the Week

It was very hard to choose this weeks Writers of the Week. Finally, I was able to choose. I chose Rosie and Matty. They produced some fantastic writing with good qualities within it. Also, their handwriting was beautiful. I'm sure you will agree that it is fabulous.
